Procedures


TSCP Practice Review Process 

TSCP is committed to improving outcomes for children and young people through learning and improvement activity. 

Any practitioner can refer a case to the Rapid Review Group with the agreement of their manager. They are encouraged do so for cases where they feel the criteria for a Local Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel is met.

Professionals should use the GM Serious Child Safeguarding Incident Notification Form  to refer cases to the Rapid Review group. Tameside Rapid Review Process 

TSCP Rapid Review Group will decide whether serious incidents should be reviewed because there is known, or suspected, abuse or neglect and the case highlights:

  • Improvements needed to safeguard and promote the welfare of children
  • Recurrent themes in the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of children
  • Concerns regarding 2 or more organisations or agencies working together effectively to safeguard and promote he welfare of children.



Greater Manchester Safeguarding ProceduresTSCP has signed up to the Greater Manchester Safeguarding Partnership and along with the other Greater Manchester authorities has agreed to use a standardised set of procedures and protocols

Child Death Overview Panel

In partnership, Stockport, Tameside and Trafford have reviewed and updated their responsibilities to put in place arrangements to review the death of a child.

This paper summarises the findings of the annual report of the tripartite Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP) for Stockport, Tameside and Trafford (STT) and resulting recommendations. The report covers the years 2022/23 and 2023/24.
